I was supposed to clean my house, but I couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting. I'm not usually a fan of historical fiction, and this was an intriguing World War II novel with suspense and a touch of romance. In Nazi occupied Paris, the main character transforms herself from a New York socialite to a brave woman who uses her instincts to save those she cares about. While many World War II novels can be depressing, the author does an excellent job of being descriptive without destroying the mood too much. --Jenny
