Splendors and Gloosms
What an aptly titled book - darkly mysterious, yet shot through with splendor and joy of humanity ad love. Three very different yet ordinary children find themselves facing a powerful and frightening evil magic in a victorian London just on the edge of surreality. As the mysteries are slowly revealed and the evil threatens the childrens innocence, the splendor of this book will draw both young and grown readers into it's gripping, redemptive story.

The Alex Versus Novels - Fated #1, Cursed #2, Taken #3
A new urban fantasy series in the genre of Jim Butcher or Simon Green but with a fun flavor of it's own. Interesting characters and a London setting make for an entertaining read. These books are sufficiently dark and gritty to keep the hardboiled urban fantasy fan happy, but they're also solidly PG 13 rated - a great reading choice for teen fans as well as adults!
I can't wait for the next installment!

Wow. I LOVED THIS BOOK. I don't even like paranormal romance, and I still loved this book. Incredibly well-written, incredibly romantic, and impossible to put down, this story of cosmic warfare and forbidden love will draw you in and not let go. If you liked Twilight, read it. If you hated Twilight (like me), read it. Just read it!

Tim Powers delivers again! This inimitable
mash-up features Victorian poets, the world below the streets of London, ghosts
in bottles, and refreshingly evil vampires, and, as always, it's a wild and
unpredictable ride! The story seamlessly melds real-life historical
people and occurrences with the magical, the paranormal, and the just plain
bizarre. When you read a book by Powers, you never know exactly what to
expect, but you know it's going to be great!

The Shadows was my favorite children's novel in a good long while, and Spellbound is just as wonderful! Full of adventure, humor and whimsical charm (as well as three talking cats with very big personalities), this delightful book is a rare speciman: a children's novel that's just as fun for adults as it is for kids.

I love this author! Just like her first book, The Vanishing of Katharina Linden, the Glass Demon is the perfect suspense novel -- creepy, smart and utterly gripping. Grant creates a delicious sense of impending doom, drawing on German folklore for her tone (though not her story). And her writing is riveting! I dare you to put this one down once you've started reading it!
