Growing a Farmer

Kurt Timmermeister's book "Growing a Farmer" tells his story of selling his popular Seattle restaurant and moving to Vachon Island to start a farm.  Each chapter offers something new about cows, vegetables, bees, making cheese... This is certainly not a how-to-book, but is much more informative than most books in this genre.  Years later, Timmermeister now holds dinners on his farm which for the most part is self sustaining. - Jacqueline
