Lidia Yuknatictch writes with paiful honesty. She hangs herslef out to dry, throws herself under the bus, calls herself our for the mistakes she's made and comes to some uncomfortable conclusions. This book exposes her life in raw, brutal frankness. She admits to the reader things I can only imagine took years to admit to herself. Some of it is very matter-of-fact, other pieces are more reluctant but with all if it she bravely lets us in.
She has a very lyrical style, her words move like water along the page. Yuknacitch has created a very inspiring book about the things we do to feel, love, forget, survive, and live.
