The Widower's Tale

by Julia Glass, $25.95, Pantheon

The Widower’s Tale is another wonderful story from Julia Glass, author of Three Junes. Glass weaves the stories of four men: a retired librarian and family patriarch, his college student grandson, a gay preschool teacher, and a Guatamalan gardener. Theirlives overlap as they are brought together by a common place — the grandfather's house. This is a story of old loves, new ones, regret and hope, and the redemption that comes from friendship.
